“After my mother had to leave her home and move into care, we found ourselves with three hungry cats in need of love, lots of attention and in their opinion lots and lots of food. Unfortunately neither myself nor my brother live in Cheshire, so we were in real need of finding someone to care for the furry triplets.
We were so fortunate to be given Kate’s details, and to find that she had availability to help us. What started as a simple conversation, the simple request of a few weeks worth of visits, slowly evolved into Kate becoming a surrogate cat mother for Brumel, Blue and Jasmine. The few simple weeks turned into over nine months of daily trips to see the triplets.
During this time nothing has ever been too much for Kate ranging from a simple request I forgot to get more cat food, please could you buy it? To the extremes of could you please take, one two or possibly all three to the vets.
The triplets at this time would also like to thank Kate for the care she showed in removing all the presents of prey that they regularly left as gifts for her around the house!
Not only did Kate look after the trio, but she kept a keen eye on my mother house informing us of any work that may be required, and post that may have continued to arrive. Kate also found herself as the summer months arrived now feeding a selection of slowly cruising Koi Carp in my late fathers Koi pond, and again was happy to source the food for the fish.
For all the work we slowly added into Kate’s day, she never changed her price of a visit.
Knowing that the triplets and the fish were always cared for, loved and rubbed, made our job of looking for a new home for them far easier with no pressure, and removed a great weight from my mother as well.
Without finding Kate and her ability to adapt to any request from afar, she enabled us to allow the cats to enjoy another nine months in their home before we were able to find the correct new life for them.
We are all truly grateful for her help, not only did she do everything she could for the trio she was completely reliable, trustworthy, always available by phone or messaging, and most importantly a wonderful surrogate cat mother.

“Woody has been going to stay at Kates for a good number of years now. He and Frank (Kate’s dog) get on like two peas in a pod! Woody used to board at a kennel but his fur always got dandruff after his stays so I knew he was stressed. Luckily from a neighbour’s recommendation, we found Kate. She is extremely professional and everything is so easy to plan. Woody went from a nervous dog being dragged into the boarding to a confident little dog dragging me down to Kates door.
Woody can be a bit of a character but Kate doesn’t mind his unique ways and we always have a laugh about what he has been up to. She sends lovely updates of his holiday that the whole family enjoy receiving.

Kate is very friendly and had a lot of patience with my shy cat – who hid under the sofa for the entirety of Kate’s first visit! On sleep over’s there’s always a cosy place on the sofa, or a snuggle by the fire, they’re all that tired by the end of the day they don’t care whose bed they sleep in. “My beautiful, pampered mature cat Ollie had always been fed by a cat loving neighbour when we went away. When the neighbour moved away from the area and there was nobody else living nearby available to feed him I didn’t know what to do. He had never been into a cattery and I was sure he wouldn’t like it.
Luckily I saw Kate’s advert in a local publication and got in touch with her. She has now been feeding Ollie for the past 4 years whether we are away for 1 night or for 3 weeks and also over Xmas and Bank Holidays.
Kate is obviously an animal lover and loves to make a fuss of Ollie and gives him lots of hugs which he loves. She feeds him twice daily and spends time making sure that he eats his food as well as making sure he is alright. The first couple of times Kate fed Ollie she sent me texts every few days to reassure me all was OK and that I had nothing to worry about.
Kate will also make sure everything is OK in the house and will do tasks such as opening/closing curtains, turning lights on/off, bringing in mail, milk etc. She will also do some watering of plant pots.
She is totally reliable and has never let us down. Ollie is very happy with arrangement. I would not hesitate to recommend Kate as a person very capable of looking after a cat when the owner is away.”

“I have been using the friendly service that Kate provides for the last 5 months. Kate offers a responsive and excellent service looking after my Border Collie dog a couple of days a week.
Kate is really friendly and always responds quickly to emails or calls so that I know I can rely on her when last minute business meetings come up and I have to go away.
Kate has a key to my house and I would have no hesitation of recommending her as a trustworthy person. She collects my dog as a pre agreed time and is always more than generous on returning him later than she could drop him off.
My dog is quite sensitive in nature but Kate quickly won him around and he now goes off with her without a backward glance!!
When you have to leave a pet to go to work or away on business it is always a relief and one less stress when you know they are well cared for.
